An essential question...
The 2 greatest commands: Love God, love others as yourself. How often do I think the way I am supposed to love God is by doing stuff FOR Him. I wonder how often God wishes that I'd stop the mad flurry of activity to be WITH Him - in the same way I just want to be with and enjoy the presence of family and friends.
So, if God is inviting us to let ourselves be loved by Him, the all important question is: "How will you let God love you this week?"
I'd love to hear how God is asking you to receive His love.

Symptoms of Going too fast....are you a rushaholic?
"...When you feel tired all the time and like you’re just going through the motions, getting through the many things on your To-Do list but not engaging with them deeply or enjoying them very much. You don’t remember things as vividly when you rush through them. You feel like you’re racing through your life instead of actually living it. Illnesses are often the body’s way of saying 'Enough already, slow down!'"
from Carl Honore In Praise of Slowness
What are you missing? Patience might be your antidote:
"Patience asks us to live the moment to the fullest, to be completely present to the moment, to taste the here and now, to be where we are. When we are impatient we try to get away from where we are. We behave as if the real thing will happen tomorrow, later and somewhere else." ~ Henri Nouwen
